A Golden Age is a period of time where everything is peaceful and in prosperity. The Golden Age in Ancient Greece took time in the period where Pericles ruled. He had three specific policies on how to rule the nation of Greece. One of the policies was to strengthened the democracy. Pericles paid all the government workers, so that everyone can work. Also Greece had a direct democracy, which means that the people made the decision made on the nation by voting. Another rule that he conducted was to strengthened Athenian Empire. Pericles organized the Delian League. From this League he used money to make their army strong, and undefeatable. Also he used the trading system to obtain products of grain and other materials, which was essential for their nation. Last but no least, Pericles set the rule of glorifying Athens. He paid artist and architects to make beautiful sculptures for the nation.
